Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way of getting your fresh, local food that has recently become popular. Those farms with CSAs offer “shares” for purchase to their customers; shares often include seasonal vegetables and other farm products. So why should you love your neighborhood CSA?
Well, first of all: fresh food and new food. Get super fresh veggies and spark that foodie craving for new recipes. Secondly, foster a real relationship with your farmer! Get to know each other, visit their farm, and help get their name out in your community. You get more culinary inspiration and they get a bigger community presence: everybody wins. And, lastly: create a love for food in your kids. Having a neighborhood farm they can call their own will get them excited about their food—veggies included.
