The Locavore Challenge

In 2010, NOFA-NY hosted its first ever Locavore Challenge to run throughout the month of September.  Planning for the 2011 Locavore Challenge is already underway. The goal is to have more than 4,000 participants throughout the state involved in this event. For more information or to volunteer to help, please contact Lea Kone.

What is Slow Food

Supporting Ethical Food

Slow Food is an idea, a way of living and a way of eating. It is a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.

Our Vision

Food is a common language and has the power to bring people together. Slow Food Saratoga not only envisions a world in which all people have food that is good for them and the planet, but also aims to unite our community through the local food and growers that sustain us.
