This past Thursday, the Slow Food Saratoga Region team took a trip up to Glens Falls for a tour and tasting of the delicious chocolates at The Chocolate Mill. After explaining to us the entire chocolate-making process (beginning all the way on the cacao farms in places like Central America and the Ivory Coast of Africa!), Frank Vollkommer allowed us to watch the art of chocolate bon bon-making in progress. We witnessed the secrets behind decorating, molding, and filling bon bons over the course of the night and even got to taste delicious passion fruit and cherry amaretto bon bons!
